Cine Gear 2019 was the most exciting show for our companies ever! Every company in Creative Solutions (Teradek / Wooden Camera / SmallHD) had a handful of revolutionary new tech to show off, and if you made it to our booth, you even got a Teradek hat.

Originally announced at NAB 2019, the Bolt 4K is the next generation of real-time wireless video for filmmakers, broadcasters and all professionals in the video world. Bolt 4K transmits uncompressed 2160P60 HDR video with less than 1ms of delay to receivers up to 1,500 ft. away. It sports 8x the performance of previous Bolt generations, meaning you’ll get significantly more robust signal and video so the transmission always rock solid.
Also first announced at NAB 2019, the CTRL.3 completes Teradek RT’s newest line of wireless follow focus products.
The 3-axis controller comes with complete focus/iris/zoom control, a fluid focus knob, OLED display with limit buttons, and up to 5,000 ft. of wireless range. What makes CTRL.3 special though is the software inside. It comes with integrated lens mapping and storage, which saves a tremendous amount of time during lens swaps and calibration in prep. But unlike most follow focus systems in the industry, CTRL.3 also includes critical follow focus information as overlays on SmallHD monitors. Any monitor running SmallHD’s Pagebuilder OS3 can display lens focal distance, focal length, iris, zoom and much more.
MDR.X is an ultralight 3-channel smart receiver for focus/iris/zoom. At just 140g, it’s one of the lightest MDRs in the industry that support full FIZ control. The OLED displays motor information, battery percentage and more. It also has built-in RED DSMC2 camera control and Bluetooth for remote configuration via the RT iOS App.
Our most affordable zero-delay wireless video system yet, Ace 500’s price starts at just $999. Ace 500 is an HDMI-only TX/RX system that sends video from any camera to up to 4 receivers within 500 ft. One special feature about the Ace is its compatibility with Bolt 500 systems, allowing users who already own Bolts to easily add Ace into their arsenal. Also pair with SmallHD’s FOCUS Bolt RX monitors for a super affordable, all-in-one handheld monitoring system.
The new 7” monitor comes in two versions: on-camera and off-camera. The on-camera version features built-in ARRI camera control along with the powerful features in SmallHD’s OS3, as well as an optional built-in Bolt 500 TX. The off-camera version comes with optional built-in Teradek Bolt 500 RX or Sidekick RX, with 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut and 1800 nits daylight viewable display.
The new 13RX production monitor/receiver is the perfect companion for ACs and DPs. Just like its smaller cousins, the 13RX comes with a built-in Bolt Sidekick II that’s compatible with any Bolt 500, 1000 and 3000 transmitter (max 500 range). Pull focus from its crystal-clear 1500 nit display and even incorporate Teradek RT follow focus overlays from the CTRL.3 or CTRL.1.
Just like the 13RX, the 17RX also comes with a built-in Bolt Sidekick II but with a 17-inch display. Its ruggedly-built exterior make it perfect for both video village and DITs. With the ability to send 3D LUTs downstream in real-time, filmmakers can get an accurate view of the post-production look.
The next level of on-camera monitors, the 702 Touch is a slim, 7-inch daylight viewable monitor featuring 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy. See the shot in broad daylight with 1500 nits (bright) and seamlessly mount to cinema cameras with several ¼-20” mounting points and dual SDI/HDMI inputs/outputs.
Mount your monitor and receiver together for an all-in-one handheld Director’s monitor with the new DMCv3. Dual-directional swing away offers easy access to the rear of the monitors, and carbon fiber hand grips make the cage ergonomic and super lightweight (1 lb.). The cage also comes with a double monitor option for those A/B cam shoots where monitoring both cameras are necessary.
