Available Positions


Project Manager

(Full Time - job location: Irvine, CA)

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand all aspects of the product development and approval process
  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with management
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
  • Review the project schedule with management and other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
  • Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Advise and escalate alerts of due dates, errors, or changes that would cause delay or customer dissatisfaction.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
  • Write reports on the project for management
  • Monitor all budgeted project expenditures
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time and within budget
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • At least two (2) years of relevant project management experience required
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and methodologies.

Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

(Full Time - job location: Irvine, CA )

Description :

All Teradek products are designed and manufactured in the USA. We are a fast-paced development and manufacturing concern, looking for A-players that are self motivated and bring a can-do attitude.

This position entails product design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of Teradek products. The position primarily involves high-speed digital circuit design to expand and develop a world-class line of video products.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work effectively within a team to develop analog and digital designs for varied applications.
  • Generate block diagrams, schematics and Bills of Material (BOMs) for complex circuit boards, test fixtures and test equipment.
  • Develop testing protocols and perform tests and document results in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Aid in identifying and troubleshooting product failures.

Minimum Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering, product development experience in design and development of microcontroller/microprocessor/DSP systems, with emphasis on interfacing to sensors and analog signals.
  • Solid understanding of interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART.
  • Experience in successfully taking electronic designs from initial concept to production.
  • Proficiency with system integration and testing designs and product.
  • Clear understanding of the product development cycle, tools and resources required for successful project completion.
  • Hands-on experience with circuit assembly and prototyping.
  • Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.) and good problem solving skills.

  • Schematic capture experience employing mixed signal design techniques.

Embedded Firmware Engineer (Wireless Networks)

(Full Time - job location: Irvine, CA)

Responsibilities:
  • Review project specifications to understand the systems requirements of the project, system architecture and design.
  • Design, develop, and test Teradek wireless networking products.
  • Work with RF team to understand the applications and provide the most effective solutions to product requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify origin
  • Document issues in issue tracking system
  • Fix bugs where appropriate
  • Participate in code reviews
Minimum Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in software development with a strong background in C
  • Experience with software engineering processes and the full software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of ARM (Cortex-M) processor architectures
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking protocols
  • Experience with 802.11 wireless networking
  • Experience with 802.15.4, Zigbee, ZWave, BlueTooth is a plus
  • Knowledge of cellular standards, especially LTE, a plus

RF Hardware Engineer

(Full Time - job location: Irvine, CA )

Teradek, a Vitec Group brand is looking for an RF Hardware Engineer. The candidate shall have experience in developing hardware in a relevant field of WLAN, BT, LTE or other microwave communication standards.

Our ideal candidate shall have direct design experience with analog front end including discrete components (ie., RF Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, RF Mixers and PLLs) and integrated SOC solutions. Must be able to handle all aspects of hardware design including schematic capture, RF PCB layout, impedance tuning and system optimization and validation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design RF portion of wireless transmitter and receiver schematic and work closely with layout team to make sure RF path impedance traces and grounding is done properly
  • Debug and test board-level performance of OFDM/WLAN waveforms through the transmitter and receiver data chains
  • Debug and test WLAN modules in AP and Client Mode and resolve any issues regarding 802.11n/ac specifications
  • Collaborate with Hardware and Firmware teams for overall system design requirements

Position Requirements:

  • BS + 3 years of experience, or MS + 1 year of experience
  • Be able to characterize and optimize gain stages of PA, LNA, Mixer with strong understanding of small signal gain, NF, IIP3/OIP3, P1dB and IIP2
  • Be able to calculate system link budget and be able to generate system requirements
  • Be able to manually tune impedance through network component matching and must contain strong soldering skills
  • Be proficient using network, spectrum and vector analyzers

DSP Design Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, debug and optimize high performance DSP code
  • Design and implement MIMO Tx and Rx architectures and algorithms, and map complex DSP algorithms and matrix math into efficient hardware design
  • Simulate, implement, debug and optimize innovative algorithms in MIMO, transmit and receive beam-forming, channel estimation, equalization, interference cancellation, pre-coding, detection, etc.
  • Work with RF and systems engineers to develop design requirements and interfaces

Requirements

  • 5 years of DSP design experience in wireless communications industry
  • Must have module, chip-level, and test-bench coding and verification skills
  • Master's or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience in defining and analyzing timing constraints, and performing static timing analysis.
  • Knowledge of DSP and wireless communication
  • Experience with coding and verification of DSP designs required
  • Experience with embedded software and embedded processors
  • Knowledge of protocol standards such as AXI, I2C, SPI, USB, PCI/PCIe

The Teradek Purchasing department is a critical player in our operations. To capitalize on our technical and market success, our team will execute large-scale projects that will define the bottom-line for the company. The functions within the department include controls, budgets, supply chain and purchasing.

Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities include supporting engineering, facilities and manufacturing with materials procurement needs.

Buyers must be able to:

  • Ensure continuity of supply and lead escalation meetings with suppliers for parts shortages to develop recovery plan.
  • Proactively provide updates to management and engineering teams on all critical supply issues.
  • Perform cost/benefit analyses.
  • Realize cost savings and meet supply base management goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Follow up with suppliers to meet committed delivery dates.
