Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! Using the free Teradek TV viewing app for iOS, Android, Apple TV, or Windows you can pull both Live Feeds and Recordings from one or more Teradek encoders (Serv or Prism) that are connected to your local WiFi network. You can also pull directly from that device’s Access Point. When pulling local-only feeds and recordings, you do not need a Teradek TV account or subscription and you do not need an internet connection. Only camera feeds and recordings sent to the cloud or pulled from the cloud require a paid subscription.

Teradek Serv Micro, Serv 4K, and all Prism Encoders are fully supported. Legacy Teradek encoders like Cube and Serv Pro can only be used for local network viewing. Upgrade offers are available for qualified devices, contact a sales representative for more information.

If you have a pre-existing wifi network on set or in your post facility, you can simply connect your compatible encoder to that network. If you are in need a networking solution and/or cellular options,

Teradek TV is a secure, managed-access streaming platform designed specifically for production and post-production. It is built to be a video village or post review in the cloud. Teradek Core is a broadcast streaming platform designed to route and distribute video feeds to multiple live destinations like Youtube, Twitch, or traditional broadcasters.

Yes! Serv 4K and Prism encoders support uploading to multiple cloud platforms at once. For example, you can send live feeds to Teradek TV for crew and producers and also send recordings to Frame.io, PIX, or Sony Ci for editorial.
