The highly-anticipated Core iOS App is now available on the App Store! With the release of the new app, users aren’t limited to Core’s web interface, and can now enjoy all of the benefits of the Core platform right from an iPhone or iPad.
So what are the benefits of having Core on a handset? Here’s a rundown of the app and what it could mean for you:
What Does It Do?
Every feature available on your Core subscription is available through the Core app too. That means multi-destination streaming, remote monitoring, IP routing and stream configuring all in the palm of your hands.

Why Is It Important?
The Core App gives you unprecedented access to your broadcasts. For users like independent content creators, this means being able to configure and distribute feeds without the need for a PC. If you’re a live production company, the Core app can manage and monitor each of your IP video feeds from anywhere you’re located, as long as you have an internet connection.
How Do You Use It?
All of the features available on the web platform is available in the app, but interfaces will appear different. Here’s a guide on how to perform the primary functions:
How to Add Encoder Sources
Once an encoder is streaming to Core, press + in the top right. Your encoder should be listed in the pop-up menu.
How to Add Destination Channels
- Tap the menu button on the top left and select Destinations.
- Tap the Channels tab. Tap on the 3 Dots button on the top right and select Add Channel.
How to Monitor a Live Video
Video feeds on the dashboard display new thumbnails every few seconds. To view the live feed, simply tap the video screen or hit “Live video”.
How to Configure Encoder Settings (Resolution, Bitrate, Framerate etc.)
- Select your stream on the Dashboard page.
- Tap the button with 3 dots on the top right and select Encoder Details.
- Tap the Settings tab. You can access all of your encoder settings here.
