Teradek, a Vitec Group brand, manufactures wireless video devices for remote video capture, live ENG backhaul, real-time monitoring, proxy recording and webcasting. For complex IP video systems, Teradek's cloud-based management platform allows users to remotely operate a fleet of Teradek encoders in real-time from anywhere in the world. All Teradek products are designed and manufactured in the USA.

Available Positions


Embedded Firmware Engineer (Wireless Networks)
Responsibilities:
  • Review project specifications to understand the systems requirements of the project, system architecture and design.
  • Design, develop, and test Teradek wireless networking products.
  • Work with RF team to understand the applications and provide the most effective solutions to product requirements.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify origin
  • Document issues in issue tracking system
  • Fix bugs where appropriate
  • Participate in code reviews
Minimum Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in software development with a strong background in C
  • Experience with software engineering processes and the full software development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of ARM (Cortex-M) processor architectures
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking protocols
  • Experience with 802.11 wireless networking
  • Experience with 802.15.4, Zigbee, ZWave, BlueTooth is a plus
  • Knowledge of cellular standards, especially LTE, a plus
  • Experience in highly hardware-centric, real time, embedded environments
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • BS/MS in CS, CE or Mathematics

Production Planner
Responsibilities:
  • Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity.
  • Analyze sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements. Ensures project ship dates are met.
  • Manages inventory levels, schedules and availability of items, manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules.
  • Maintains and coordinates inventory cycle counts
  • Reviews shipping information and delivery date input during sale order reviews.
  • Pulls in material for vendors to fulfill production schedule.
  • Reviews sales orders against shipping current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report.
  • Interfaces with floor supervisor, purchasing department, vendors and supervisor on material status and production planning issues.
  • Establishes priorities for specific customer orders
  • Revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, materials, machines, and equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
  • College Degree plus 3 or more year’s experience, or 7 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • APICS certification a plus
  • Knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and communication skills

Hardware Engineer
Teradek manufactures wireless video devices for remote video capture, camera control, real-time monitoring, color correction and webcasting. For complex IP video systems, Teradek's cloud-based workflow management platform allows users to remotely operate a fleet of Teradek encoders in real-time from anywhere in the world. All Teradek products are designed and manufactured in the USA.
Responsibilities:
  • Review project specifications to understand the systems requirements of the project, system architecture and design.
  • Board level architecture, design, implementation and test of digital and analog hardware for video processing and interfacing products.
  • The design work will include researching / specifying components, schematic development, PCB layout guidance, board bring-up, interfacing.
  • Researching and developing test methods for new/existing products by working with firmware/design engineers.
  • Create test environments that automate testing using AV test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify origin
  • Document issues in issue tracking system
  • Fix hardware issues where appropriate
  • Participate in design reviews
Minimum Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in hardware development
  • Hands on experience in design/troubleshoot/updating hardware
  • Strong hardware debugging skills and root-cause failure analysis.
  • Experience interfacing with micro-controller, memory and peripherals (I2C, SPI, RS232, USB, Ethernet).
  • Experience with various FPGAs and tools from Altera a plus.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital video interfaces, especially HDMI and HD-SDI video standards a plus.
  • Experience using high speed transceivers, DDR2/3 memory interfaces, DSP resources, and internal memory resources on FPGAs.
  • High Speed board-level design experience highly desirable.
  • Software programming experience in C, C++, C# or other selected languages a plus.
